Bio

Des Rivière is a Montréal-based composer, sound artist, inter-disciplinary creator and wildlife tracker. Blending ambient textures, analog tape, field recordings, their art gives voice to hidden creatures and forgotten objects. With a background in classical piano and harp, later expanded through a bachelor's degree in Digital Music at Université de Montréal, they merge instrumental, electronic, environmental sound and varied visual elements. Their work is grounded in sound ecology and deep listening, and their practice spans from slow, contemplative ambient performances to high-energy, rhythmic, club-oriented tracks and audio reactive installations.
